Merlethia is the Student Services Coordinator for Healthy Learners Waccamaw. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Benedict College and a Master’s Degree in Human Services from Post University. Prior to joining Healthy Learners 11 years ago, she worked for Horry County School District.

Merlethia enjoys reading and meeting new people. As an active member of her community, she serves on the board of Health Care Collaborative for Youth and is a member of the healthcare team at her church, Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church.
