Mathew 25:40 says ‘I tell the truth, when you did it for the least of these my brothers and sisters, you doing it for me.’ As a servant leader it inspires me to uplift children and families to strengthen the foundation of our community.

Derek Cromwell serves as the Executive Director of Healthy Learners. He brings extensive leadership experience from his previous role as Chief Partnership Officer at South Carolina First Steps, where he led statewide initiatives to support early childhood education.

Derek earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and is also an ordained Deacon. He and his wife are proud parents of five daughters and grandparents to ten grandchildren.

In his free time, Derek enjoys bowling, music, and fishing, and you can often find him at Soda City, one of his favorite local spots.
