Devon, Darryl, and DeShawn Jackson have been friends of Healthy Learners ever since school leadership approached our team in 2017 with concerns that their family had limited resources to care for them. Devon was struggling with behavioral health issues, Darryl and DeShawn needed oral health care, and all three children were struggling with school absenteeism. Lowcountry Healthy Learners Lowcountry has been serving Allendale County for over 15 years and is truly an embedded member of this rural community. Our staff live, raise their families, attend church and community events in the Lowcountry. These community connections are what helped staff at Healthy Learners Lowcountry provide glasses to a third grader at Allendale Elementary.
